MAGE Engine is a tabletop RPG for 4-5 players about freelance adventurers doing odd jobs, slaying monsters and acquiring wealth and prestige (or dying horribly). Drawing inspiration from fiction-first and old school renaissance styles of game mastery, it is designed to be both easy to play and easy to run.

This is a joint project between myself and my friend Cherry; our twitter handles are @urlizardfriend and @anatoliasraven respectively, and we have an account for the game itself at https://twitter.com/henosiscloister that you can follow for updates. We have a discord server for this project as well that may help in organizing games, finding information about future updates, etc: https://discord.gg/uKSsSwdr7x

This is not the finished product version of MAGE Engine--it lacks art, final formatting touches and potentially a bit of rebalancing--but it is in what we consider a confidently playable state, and we're looking for as many eyes as possible to help us refine this into the best version of itself it can be. All funds from purchases will be going right back into improving the game.

At the bottom of this page and the document both is link to a feedback form--if you try this system out at your table, we'd really appreciate it if you sent us your thoughts and opinions. Further feedback, questions, comments or concerns can be provided in the comments below or by the forum as well as through the discord server or as tweets to the Henosis Cloister account.

Stride forth in good fortune, Freelancers!
